Departments
Nephrology is a subspecialty of internal medicine dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease and disorders of renal function. Major conditions managed in this department include acute kidney injury, various forms of nephritis, urinary tract infection, and chronic kidney disease. The department also provides treatment for renal complications associated with hypertension and diabetes.
In addition, for patients with chronic kidney failure whose kidneys can no longer maintain adequate function, Jejung Care Hospital operates a dedicated dialysis unit with structured treatment equipment and a care environment designed to support safe, ongoing renal replacement therapy.

* Nephritic syndrome or acute nephritis: hematuria, oliguria, reduced glomerular filtration rate, and edema
* Nephrotic syndrome: heavy proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, hypercholesterolemia, and edema
* Asymptomatic urinary abnormalities: kidney disease with protein, red blood cells, or white blood cells in the urine without other symptoms
* Acute kidney injury: rapid decline in renal function with rising serum creatinine or decreasing glomerular filtration rate
* Chronic kidney failure: chronic, irreversible renal dysfunction lasting more than three months or evidence of kidney damage
* Renal tubular disorders: cystic disease, tubulointerstitial nephritis, and water, electrolyte, or acid-base imbalance
* Urinary tract infection
* Urinary tract obstruction
* Kidney stones
