Departments
The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is dedicated to helping patients recover the highest possible level of physical, mental, and social function after illness or injury. Our goal is to improve quality of life so that patients can return to daily living with the greatest possible degree of independence. We provide rehabilitation care not only for patients with stroke and spinal cord injury, but also for individuals whose walking, mobility, or activities of daily living have been limited by pain or functional decline.
When appropriate intervention is delayed in the early stage of illness, patients may later face significantly greater physical and financial burdens in recovering from worsening disability. For that reason, it is important to assess each patient broadly from the beginning and establish a treatment plan that considers physical impairment, underlying disease, and psychological, social, and occupational factors. Based on that assessment, a specialized rehabilitation program can be implemented in a timely and structured way.
At Jejung Care Hospital, rehabilitation physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, dietitians, and social workers work together through multidisciplinary case review and coordinated care planning. This team-based approach allows us to pursue rehabilitation strategies that are both clinically appropriate and practically meaningful for each patient.
Our rehabilitation team goes beyond basic physical therapy, occupational therapy, and pain management. We also focus on preventing secondary complications, improving the function of affected body regions, and providing education for ongoing management after treatment. Through comprehensive rehabilitation care, we aim to help patients and families return to a safer and more stable daily life as early as possible.
